The biggest climate conference in fashion makes a return this June

We’re all now very familiar with the devastating impact the fashion industry is having on our planet, accounting for 2.1 billion tonnes of CO2 emissions in 2018 (around four percent of the annual total) alone. One of the biggest bodies looking to tackle this is the Global Fashion Agenda, which is set to present another instalment of its Global Fashion Summit this June. Here’s everything you need to know about the summit, and how to get tickets for this year’s convention.

Everything You Need To Know About The Global Fashion Summit 2025
What Is The Global Fashion Summit?
Presented by the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA), the Global Fashion Summit is the world’s leading conference for sustainability in the fashion industry. First taking place in 2009, the summit brings together some of the industry’s leading voices and changemakers to host discussions on the environmental, social and ethical issues that impact fashion, people and planet, as well as ongoing pieces of legislation that are currently under discussion both within the EU and worldwide. It’s an interactive conference spanning two days that encourages people to get talking about the ways fashion can improve.
Moving from country to country, the summit is held annually in Copenhagen as well as internationally at alternating venues. Some of the biggest names in fashion, spanning design, marketing, sourcing and top management, attend each year.

What Is The Global Fashion Agenda?
A non-profit organisation dedicated to helping the fashion industry adopt and execute a more sustainable way of thinking, the Global Fashion Agenda is committed to turning the current business model on its head in order to protect biodiversity and reverse climate change. Since 2009, it has been organising the Global Fashion Summit to help bring people together to accelerate change.

What Is The Theme?
This year organisers have decided on the theme ‘Barriers and Bridges’, which examines how pressures to adapt and innovate within the industry come up against an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
‘The theme ‘Barriers and Bridges’ reflects a pivotal time for our industry,’ said Federica Marchionni, CEO of the Global Fashion Agenda. ‘As we face growing economic uncertainty, regulatory complexity and societal pressure, Global Fashion Summit: Copenhagen Edition 2025 will not only spotlight the obstacles we must overcome, but also the solutions that will shape a regenerative, inclusive, and innovative future. We look forward to convening fashion’s most committed changemakers to accelerate action across all levels of the value chain.’
